Diana Alicia Vela- Pittman age 67 died on April 25, 2021 in Missouri City, Texas at Windsor Quail Valley Post Acute Healthcare Center.
She was born on July 15, 1953 to Fileberto and Aurora Vela in the town of Mathis, Texas. Diana was the oldest of five daughters she graduated Gregory High School. After graduation Diana pursued a degree in the medical field. Through her hard work and dedication she graduated with a degree from Delmar College.
Diana‘s love of healthcare took her to an occupation as a respiratory technician and ultimately a Nurse. Diana became a traveling nurse, her dream job, which provided her many opportunities to meet and work with many wonderful and diverse individuals.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents. Diana will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother,sister and aunt. Diana‘s dedication and love of her career is how she contracted the Corona virus, but ultimately the toll was too much for her to overcome.
Her beautiful life will be forever remembered and cherished by her two daughters Maria Alicia Pittman-Sweet of Oklahoma, Teresa Denise Young-Humbird of Angleton Tx and her five grandchildren Kelsi Layne Humbird, Brandell Bryce Humbird, Mia Marie Sweet, Madison Makena Sweet and Larry Mason Sweet. Her sisters Dora Vela, Delia Orgas, Delma DeLaCruz, Dolores Vela and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located in Aransas Pass, Tx. An Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery.
