Rockport,
Belinda Cantu,63, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2019. Belinda was born in McAllen, Texas to parents Louis and Felicidad Chavez on August 19, 1956.
Belinda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Miguel Chavez; and brother, Gregorio Chavez.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jose Cantu; sons, Paul Riojas III, Jose M. Cantu, Jr., Louis A. Cantu, and Michael A. Cantu; daughters, Evelyn Chavez, Marissa Cantu, Emerae Cantu, and Emily Cantu; brothers, Fernando Chavez, Ricky Chavez, Louis Chavez, and Almo Chavez; sister, Esmeralda Chavez; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Belinda was a very outspoken and strong-willed. She was known for being funny and would give the shirt off her back if needed. Belinda always wanted to enjoy life in the here and now and not waste life. She lived her life in the YOLO club, which led her to her very special friend Walter. She enjoyed western tv shows, especially Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
Belinda was very loved by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who know and loved her.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located at 814 E. Main St. in Rockport, TX.
