William Howard (Bill) Kennedy, 91, from Woodsboro, Texas, moved to heaven on May 7, 2017. He was known by many in South Texas through his letters to the editor and his loyalty to the Democratic Party. His unique way of looking at life provided great lessons to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was a proud veteran of WWII, University of Missouri graduate, editor of six newspapers, sportswriter, Woodsboro Postmaster and fantastic father.
He is survived by his children: Steven (Analisa) Kennedy of Goliad, Sherri (Rick) Davis of Corpus Christi, Bonnie (Ron) Brown of Coleman, David (Sandy) Patton of Portland, Judi (Merlin) Hess of Corpus Christi, Kevyn (Chien-Yi) Kennedy of Shanghai, China and Michael (Kristen) Kennedy of Friendswood. He leaves 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Genevieve Wiggins of Guild, New Hampshire.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Moore Funeral Home chapel in Refugio followed immediately by a memorial service in the same chapel
