William "Capt. Tye" Bralley went to be with the Lord on February 3, 2025. William was born on January 5, 1964.
As a young boy Tye was not playing cowboy, he was living cowboy on horseback on his Palo Duro Canyon horse and cattle ranch in Groom, TX with his mother Bebe, father Bill, brother Mitch, and his two sisters, Toni and Suzanne. He would show up to school with his brother Mitch in their old truck hooked to a horse trailer with horses saddled up ready to ride their range after school.
After graduation, Tye went on to attend Amarillo Junior College.
Tye and his family later moved to Port Aransas, TX. Tye worked the docks until he took a job as deck hand on a local fishing boat. Thereafter, he quickly advanced to captain and after many years he became a master Mariner and held his place among the top producing big game fishing tournament captains. Tye is a proud alumni of 47 years of U.G.M (University of the Gulf of Mexico). In all the tournaments Tye participated in he took many trophies and made all of us proud. In all things Tye accomplished he never lost his cowboy spirit. I know we’ll all remember that raspy voice over the vhf forever and ever.
In his personal life Tye taught his children to have values of integrity, honor and faith in God.
Tye is survived by his beloved companion Brenda Coyle, his mom Bebe Bralley, sister Toni Bouchard, son Tyler Bralley (whom is also a Mariner), by his daughter Candace Dupnik, son in law David Dupnik, daughter Brittany Mata and son in law Michael Mata. Tye also had six grandchildren Haidyn Dupnik, Ada Clark, Ryland Mata, Collins Mata, Rivers Mata, and Scout Mata. All of whom he taught the love of hunting and fishing to.
On February 3rd 2025 at 9:30pm Tye received his greatest trophy, he received a place prepared for him in heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ. We all thank God for sharing Tye, the last known pirate with us. He will always be in our hearts.
For as long as the wind blows, the grass grows and the water flows Capt. Tye Bralley will be “STANDING BY!”
