In Loving Memory of Waine Peterson
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Waine Peterson, a beloved soul who departed from this earthly plane on the 7th of January, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Born with a gentle spirit and a compassionate nature, Waine greeted each day with a fervor for life and a profound love for those around him. His unwavering dedication to his family and friends was the cornerstone of his existence. Waine was a pillar of strength and a beacon of wisdom, always willing to lend an empathetic ear or offer sound advice to those who sought his counsel.
Waine's love story was one of true devotion. He leaves behind his beloved bride, Patrice Flynn, with whom he shared countless cherished memories. Their bond was built on a foundation of unwavering support, love, and shared dreams. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, exemplifying what it means to live a life full of love, commitment, and mutual respect.
He loved his God with all his heart as well as his family. He also leaves behind son Robert Peterson, son Eddie Peterson, daughter Patti Waltman, son David Peterson (Yadi); Grandchilden Marie Matlock-Evans (Kyle), Jessica Carter (Terrell) Melanie Matlock-Duduit (Timothy), Krizia Landivar (Luis) , Joel Martinez, and Ashley Johns (Joshua); great grandchildren Cassius Evans, Aaliyah Carter, Alexandria Carter, Azariah Carter, Benjamin Waltman, Timothy Duduit III, Luis Landivar Jr. and Oliver Johns.
Waine's spirit will forever resonate through the lives of his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a doting and dedicated grandfather, forever seeing the wonder and potential in their eyes. His wise and nurturing presence will be deeply missed.
He was a man after God's own heart. Always making sure that those around him were taken care of. After Hurricane Harvey he bought a tractor to help the community before fixing his own property. He even bought the riding lawn mower for the church and used it to keep the Church lawn tailored,
In honor of Waine's extraordinary life, funeral services and ceremonies will be held Sunday January 14 at the Rockport Church of Christ . These services will serve as a heartfelt tribute to a life well-lived, celebrating Waine's profound impact on all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we gather to pay our final respects, let us remember the lessons of kindness, compassion, and love that Waine imparted to us all.
