Velease Denmon

Velease Samon “Lisa” Mitchell Denmon was born January 1, 1962  to Thomas Perry Mitchell, Sr. and Ruby Lee Mitchell in Corpus Christi, Texas at Memorial Hospital. Lisa attended high school in Aransas Pass, Texas.

In 1987 Lisa moved to San Francisco with her husband Tommie James Denmon. Lisa worked as a health care provider and management.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Tommie James Denmon; her son, Craig, Jr.; her parents; Thomas and Ruby Lee Mitchell, sisters, Denise White and Sheila Taylor; brothers, Don Foster and Christopher Mitchell.

Lisa leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Kenny Mitchell (Leslie), Marcus Simmons; daughter Tamara Lynette Denmon; sisters, Nena Pope and Sharon Simmons (Charles), all of the Coastal Bend brothers, Thomas, Jr. (Marisa), Ricky (Denise), Jackie (Yvonne) and Little Thomas Mitchell; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Throughout life, Bobby Dean Grant and Lisa share a special bond of best friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 03, 2021 at Prairie View Cemetery at 2 pm.
