Vaunda S. Frederick passed away April 28, 2023. She was 89 years old. She was born October 6, 1933 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Lloyd Lyle and Vaughn Lydia Smith.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing, talking, and visiting, playing with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved the annual family reunions. She retired from Texaco after 13 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Smith; sisters, Natalie Roden, Lynelle Hunt, Carolyn Freeman, and Bonnie Roden.

She is survived by daughters, Lissa Vaughn Wilson of Inez, Texas, and Lesli Kay Fridge (Benjamin) of Richmond, Texas; granddaughters, Sonja Nafziger, and Jasmine DeLong; great granddaughter, Khalani Hernandez.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am and the funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas.
