Una Farley

Una Lee Farley,93, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2023. Una was born in McKinney, Texas, to parents, John William Jenkins and Una Aline Ramsey, on February 13, 1930.  

Una is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Roy Farley; sister, Mary Lewis; brothers, J.W., Curtis, Don, J.T., and Mike Jenkins.  

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jim (Sally) Farley of League City, Texas, and Nona (David) Hendricks of Bellville, Texas; sister, Billie Bryant of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Kelly, Ross, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Sage and Kale.  

Una married Don Roy Farley in the year 1956, and they shared 56 years together until his passing in 2012.  

Una was a resident of Port Aransas, and she had a wonderful career in the Port Aransas school district for over 30 years as an Administrator and retired in the year of 1990. In her honor, the library was named after Mrs. Farley. In the year 1994, she was named Pt. Aransas Citizen of the Year. She was a long-time member of the Community Presbyterian Church, volunteer at the Helping Hands Food Pantry and other community causes.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Community Presbyterian Church, or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Community Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow at Royal Palm Cemetery.
