Tom Max "Red" Yardley passed away June 14, 2017 at the age of 87 in Clute, Texas. Tom was born January 8, 1930 to William and Genette (Nixon) Yardley in Hext, Texas. Tom grew up in Aransas Pass, Texas where he learned to fish and shrimp with his family. He traveled all over the place going from state to state, fishing, hunting, even looking for gold. He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren BBQing, drinking Root Beer (his favorite) and telling whoppers and making everyone laugh. Tom was a Christian man who loved the Lord and was ready to go to his heavenly home. Tom lived a good life.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughter: Deborah Lea Yardley, his mother: Gennette Yardley, father: William Yardley, brothers: William "Cotton", Jack, Cleveland, Robert, James, and a half-brother, Herman McClary, sisters: Easter Taylor, Lorain Olson, Lois Yardley, Tennie Beaven, son-in-law: Don Martin, grandson: Jason Rotureau; and granddaughter: Desiree Rotureau.
He is survived by his daughters: Terry Maxine Martin of San Angelo, Texas and Tomi Jean Rotureau of Brazoria, Texas, grandchildren: Renea (Bobby) Maynard, Aaron (Ashley) Rotureau, Clifford (Jennifer) Martin, Timothy Martin, Harold Rotureau, Tommy Routureau, Destiny, and Dee-Dee Rotureau and five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and the Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 10:00 am both will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.
