Timothy D. Suenram, age 69, passed away March 27, 2020, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was the husband of Rosalie Suenram. Residents of Rockport, Texas, Tim and Rose shared 16 years of a deep and loving marriage.
Born at the Naval Air Station Agana, on the island of Guam, he was the youngest son of Rose and Melburn Suenram. After graduating from the Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, NC, he graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree. Tim pastored churches in Arkansas, Texas and Indiana, and most recently worked as a pharmacist at Walmart stores throughout South Texas.
A year ago, Tim wrote a note that stated: “Hi. I’m Tim – husband, dad, and grandad. I’m 68 years old, still working full time, and spend my working hours on my feet (mostly stationary). I live on the Texas gulf coast and enjoy fishing (not nearly enough), birding (ditto), and going new places with my wife (yeah, another ditto!) When we’re able – we care for her parents who live with us – we enjoy movies, short walks, and just being together.” That’s as far as he had gotten, but those who knew Tim said a lot more. His son Joel wrote how smart and humble he was. His son Jon wrote how he helped shape the man he is today. One of his pastor friends from Tennessee wrote, “Tim had a childlike sense of wonder, compassion and cared for others.” He kept co-workers in laughter and song and never left work without telling each one what a good job they did and a sincere thank you.
Tim is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Amber Suenram of Evansville, Indiana, son Jonathan and wife Laura, of Denver, Colorado, son Joel Suenram of Indianapolis, stepchildren, Christopher and Sean McClendon and step grandchildren, Kennedy and Rowan McClendon. He is also survived by his mother Rose Suenram of Fredericksburg, Texas, brother Michael and wife Pamela Suenram of Harper, Texas, and sister Marsha and husband Ron Gallfy of Naples, Florida. He was predeceased by his father Melburn Suenram.
His children and stepchildren loved him, and for me, his wife, I can only say – We are One – Always!
