Thomas Smith

Thomas William Smith, 70, passed away on August 26, 2018 at his home in Ingleside, Texas.

Thomas was born in Lansing Michigan to Stanley and Bessie Smith but was raised in Miami Florida.

Thomas joined the U.S. Navy in 1967 and was deployed overseas to Vietnam. He had a long and successful military career, retiring after twenty-four years of honorable service on December of 1991.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Fox) Sutherlan; his daughter Amanda Marie; his son Eric Michael; his mother-in-law Felicia (Snider) Fox; his sister-in-law Christi (Jeffrey) Morrow and their two sons; and his brother-in-law David (Tammy) Fox. He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Thomas was a life-long military history buff and gun enthusiast. He enjoyed collecting weapons and was a firm Second Amendment proponent.

Thank you to all of Thomas's caregivers throughout his last few years. You are greatly appreciated.
