Terrell (Marty) Martin Moore Jr. went to Heaven on April 22, 2024 at his home in League City, Texas. Surrounded by his dear wife Aleisha, family, and friends. Marty was 39 and battled brain cancer bravely and fiercely for 10 long years. We will all miss him dearly but find peace and comfort knowing he's safe and pain free in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Marty was born and raised in Aransas Pass, Texas to Terry and Valencia Moore on February 27, 1985. He was part of the graduating class of 2003 from Aransas Pass High School where he was a talented trumpet player, and an Eagle Scout of Troop 25. Marty married the love of his life Aleisha at The Temple of Praise Church in Aransas Pass in 2007. They moved to Kerrville, Texas where they grew the family for 12 years. The family later moved to League City in 2019 to be closer to MD Anderson for medical treatment. Marty had a love for music, hunting, offshore fishing, and being on the water. He never knew a stranger and had an infectious laughter. He held a strong Faith in God and appreciated watching the quiet nature of a sunrise with a cup of coffee.
Marty is preceded in death by his grandparents Edward (Johnny) and Aletha Moore, grandfather Jimmie Morgan Sr., and his mother-in-law Barbara Berna.
Marty is survived by his wife Aleisha Moore (Berna) of League City. His sons Jared Vickery of Houston, Texas; Brandon Vickery of Houston; and Kendan Moore of League City. His parents Terrell (Terry) Sr. and Valencia Moore of Aransas Pass. His father-in-law James Berna Sr. of Aransas Pass. His grandmother Virginia Morgan of Ingleside on the Bay, Texas. His siblings Sonny Spearman (Janet) of Weesatche, Texas; Jessie Spearman (Rachel) of Victoria, Texas; and Ashleigh Moore of Aransas Pass. His brother-in-law James Berna Jr. (Shelly) of Homer, Alaska. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 28, 2024 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Funeral services will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow the services at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass.
In lieu of arrangements, the family is asking for monetary donations to support his wife and son as they have incurred numerous costs fighting this battle. Make no mistake Marty didn't lose the battle, his victory was claimed long ago and he is sailing the seas of Heaven.
