Port Aransas

Shannon Shay Williams, 57, of Port Aransas, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. His final days were marked by the love and support of his family, particularly his wife, Stacy Williams, who fought beside him through his courageous battle with cancer.

Shay was born with a fierce dedication to service, working in law enforcement for an impressive 41 years. His commitment to protecting and serving his community was a cornerstone of his life. Beyond his professional achievements, Shay was first and foremost a devoted husband, father, and friend. His family was his world, and he loved them unconditionally. Shay is survived by his wife, Stacy; daughters, Amber Womack and Hailey Williams; and sons, Tyler Walker and Zane Williams.

Throughout his life, Shay faced many challenges, but none more daunting than his recent fight with squamous cell carcinoma. His strength, resilience, and determination during his illness were nothing short of inspiring. His family remained his greatest comfort throughout this time, and he passed away in peace, surrounded by those who loved him most.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Shay’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas.

Shay will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of service, strength, and love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Foundation.
