Ruthie Marie Moreno

March 30, 1956 — November 21, 2024

Ruthie Marie Moreno – 03/30/1956 to 11/21/2024

Not just another Sand Dollar drifting to sea, Ruthie Marie Moreno was born on March 30, 1956, in Seminole, Texas to parents Donald Coon and Bobby McGee and passed on November 21, 2024, after a vigorous battle with cancer.

Ruthie lived her Life in Balance and Wellness like the Sand Dollar. Ruthie never met a stranger and extended her hands and heart to anyone in need. Her Path of Life was of Service. She was a Member of Celebration as an Ordained Minister. She enjoyed substitute teaching at schools, volunteering her time at the Joe Salem Boys and Girls Charity as well as Loaves and Fishes especially during the Holidays. Ruthie devoutly led a career of Service at different restaurants including The Quarterdeck, Virginia’s on the Bay, where she retired, and the Island’s Oldest and Friendliest, Shorty’s.

Ruthie left this life with the Beauty and Power of the Ocean, just like a Sand Dollar, reminding us of the natural world and the wonders it holds are only waves in our lives. Nothing short to say that Ruthie transformed the Eternal Cycle of Life and Death.

Ruthie is survived by her Daughter, Jessica Nicole Stafford and Grand Children Conner O’Neal Catledge and Ashlynn Nycole Fiebeg all of Aransas Pass, Texas. She is also survived by countless number of Friends both far and near.

Ruthie is preceded in death by Jessica Nicole Stafford’s Father, Tony Moreno, and her parents Bobby McGee and Donald Coon.

A Celebration of Life for Ruthie Marie Moreno will be hosted at Virginia’s on The Bay, on Sunday, January 12th at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are arranged in honor of her grandchildren, Conner and Ashlynn at the American Bank in Port Aransas, Texas. Ruthie’s dream was to aid these two in achieving their life goals by attending the college of their choice. All who were blessed to have known Ruthie are welcomed to her Celebration of Life. Just like the Sand Dollar, her wishes were of Harmony, Unity and Resilience. Thus, it is rare to find a whole Sand Dollar on the beach, but we found one in the Life of Ruthie Marie Moreno.
