Ronnie Huegler

Ronnie Lee “Ron” Huegler, Sr., 61, passed away April 19, 2021, in Ingleside, Texas. Ron was born June 17, 1959, in Beeville, Texas, to Loretta and Charles “Floyd” Huegler. Ron began a life of service to his country and community by serving in the United States Army and National Guard for a total of 13 years. Ron left the Army in 1991 at the rank of Captain. Ron went on to serve as a peace officer for 26 years, beginning as a police officer with the Ingleside Police Department. Ron became a San Patricio County Sheriff’s Deputy in 1996 and later retired as a patrol sergeant with master peace officer certificate in 2018.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Loretta Huegler, father-in-law, Cecil Lewis Garey, Jr., and brother-in-law, Cecil Lewis Garey, III. Ron is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Huegler, children Ronnie Huegler, Jr. and wife Michelle, Krista Rodriguez and husband Anthony, and Sean Huegler and wife Brittney. Ron also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Caleb, Olivia, Lillian, Tristan, Stephan, Kennedy, and Charlee, and many well-loved cousins, family members, and friends.

A viewing will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes in Aransas Pass, on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 2 pm to 7 pm. The family will be present from 5 pm to 7 pm, and a rosary will follow immediately. Services will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes in Aransas Pass, on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 10 am. A reception will follow.
