Rodney Montgomery

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Rodney Scott \"Tuggy\" Montgomery. He passed peacefully in his sleep in his Aransas Pass home on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 55. Scott was many things: a writer, jokester, romantic, singer, story teller and an old soul. God made him special. Scott saw the good in people and made them want to be better in life. He gave the best hugs and amazing advice in a soothing voice that will never be forgotten.

Scott was preceded in death by grandparents, A. W. and Maybelline Smith. He is survived by girlfriend Cat Spicer, parents, Roger and Frances Walker, brother Randall Walker and wife Sharon, brother Jeffery Walker and wife Donna, daughter Elizabeth Depwe and husband Jacob, daughter Brittany Templeton and husband Corey, grandchildren Katelyn, Riley, Kevin, Jackson, and JoDee Reese, with a new arrival due in Jan 2018. He will be mourned by Jennifer Montgomery, the McMillian, the Duvall and the Montgomery families as well as numerous close relatives and friends.
A beachside celebration of his life will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6-8pm on Mustang Island.

In lieu of flower and donations we request that family and friends spend time cherishing those that are with them as this is what Scott found most important in life.
