Roberts "Bob" Johnson

Roberts A. “Captain Bob” Johnson, 78, of Rockport, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023. He was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on July 28, 1944, to Rob and Alma Johnson. Bob married Judith Ann Fisher on March 10, 1978, and were married for 42 years until she went to heaven on November 30, 2020. As his name implies, Captain Bob spent his career in the maritime industry first as a supply boat captain and then eventually onto an anchor handling boat captain for a whole host of companies, the last being Edison Chouest Offshore. From an early age and throughout his life, he had a passion for the outdoors – mainly duck hunting – and cooking up cuisines to feed whoever felt like walking through the door. On any given day you could catch him at the head of table sharing numerous stories and tales of a life full of adventure with anyone willing to lend their ears or in front of the tv watching his Astros or his Longhorns. He is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest sister, Theresa, as well as his wife, Judith. He is survived by his son, Jesse Johnson of Rockport, TX and his daughter, Courtney Johnson of Lago Vista, TX.

Funeral services will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, TX on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 2pm.
