With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Robert George Allen announces his peaceful passing on June 19, 2024, in Aransas Pass, TX. Born in Wabasha, MN on May 28, 1946, Robert touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, kindness, sense of humor and unwavering love.
Robert's beloved wife, Sandra Allen, along with his sons, Donald W. Allen (Lisa) and Daniel J. Allen (Miranda), are left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy of strength and compassion. He was the cherished son of late Marian L. Adams and John Allen. Robert also leaves behind a treasured legacy of grandchildren, Jake Daniel Allen, Tyler John Allen, Alexander Calvin Allen, and Olivia Grace Allen and special uncle Leo "Butch" Sagissor who brought him immense joy.
Robert proudly served in the Navy, dedicating himself to his country with honor and courage. His unwavering dedication to his family and his commitment to service truly defined his character.
Robert worked in the Coastal Bend since 1970, retiring from Ashland Chemical / Degussa Carbon Black after 30 years, where he made many lifelong friends. He had a passion for all things mechanical, and through the years could be found tinkering in his garage or working on his friends and neighbors cars; and various pieces of yard equipment.
In honor of his life and legacy, a celebration of Robert's remarkable journey will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 2 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Together, we will pay our respects to a man who touched so many lives with his kindness, his warmth, and his unwavering love.
As we bid farewell to Robert George Allen, let us remember his laughter, his wisdom, and the love that he shared so selflessly. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew him, a beacon of light and love that will never dim. Rest in peace, Robert, knowing that you were deeply cherished and will be forever missed.

Celebration of life will be held immediately after the memorial service at the Aransas Pass Civic Center, beginning at approximately 3:00-3:30 pm on Saturday, June 29.
