Richard Miller

Rockport

In loving memory of Richard Allen Miller born November 14th, 1940, and  passed away December 11th, 2023 of non hodgkin's lymphoma.

Richard was predeceased by his wife Marie, her two sons Chris and Rusty, his sister Patsy and his parents Florence and Lee.

He is survived by his brothers Bill and Don and his sister Lynne,  his former wife Dolores and their daughter Sherrie. Marie's children Vickey and Stanley, numerous grand children, great grand children,  nieces, nephews, that he loved very much, and his life partner Wilma Herchberger, whom he referred to as soul mate, filling his later days with  joy and love.

Richard was born in california and graduated Leigh High School.  He stayed in the San Jose area and raised his family with wife Marie. He worked to better himself through life and succeed in becoming a journeyman mechanic by trade and ending his career at Nasa with high commendations.
Upon retirement he and Marie traveled the country in their rv for five years before settling in Aransas Pass, and eventually Rockport. Richard was always active, working on projects ,helping  family, neighbors, friends and strangers, who would all become friends. From fixing a car to remodeling a house. he made things better just by touching them.
Richard enjoyed camping, fishing playing pool, poker and  gardening. He was especially proud of his rose's.

After Marie's passing Richard and Wilma met and fell in love.  They enjoyed many beautiful times together traveling, working ,walking on the beach or just sitting and enjoying each others company.

Richard was a wonderful friend, father, grand father, husband, and life partner. he will be deeply missed by all those who's life he touched. 

Richard's memorial service will be held at the Charlie Marshal Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas on December 23rd 2023 at 2:00 pm.
