Richard Head

Richard Head, age 68 of Aransas Pass, TX passed into eternity July 3rd, 2017.

A memorial service is planned at the American Legion Post 10, Boulder, Co. August 5th, 2017

Richard was born in Independence, Mo. to Willard Brown Head and Emmalee Vane Head on February 21, 1949.

Richard was a proud American who served his country during the Vietnam conflict as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from August 5, 1968 - July 5th, 1970

Richard was an active member of both the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #566 and American Legion Post 10, both of Boulder, Co. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Those who knew Richard know he loved to build. Head Construction was his successful construction business for over 20 years in Boulder. While in Texas he was the President of the Aransas Pass Municipal Development District and oversaw the construction of the Aransas Pass Civic Center. He was a devoted father who coached his daughter's softball teams. Richard was married to Sharon Goodson for 40 years.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Dawn Stolte (Joel) and Melanie Head (John Gutierrez); siblings, Denise Groshans, Bill Head, Marty Head (Janell) and Stefanie Mores and his grandchildren; Geoff Stolte, Dillon McCurry (Chelsea), Zack Stolte, and Christopher McCurry.
