Richard Curry

Richard Burton Curry, also known as Bubba, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the age of 64. After several months of declining health, Bubba died peacefully at his home in Weesatche, Texas.

Bubba was born in Sinton, Texas March 25, 1958 to father Edgar Burton Curry and mother Betty Louise Ferrell Curry. Bubba spent many years living in Port Aransas, Texas.  He was a crane operator and had many adventures from coast to coast. After his crane operating career ended, Bubba spent many years living in Belize where he enjoyed time with his Mother and other family and friends.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Michael Gatewood. He is survived by his son Ricky Curry and wife Shana; children Taylor and Grace Curry. Son Brandon Curry; children Korban, Ryder and Cannon Curry. Sisters Roxy Curry and Vicky Henderson, and niece Shaleigh Munsch; children Layne Donaldson and Brock Blevins.

The family is respecting Bubba’s wishes and there will be no memorial services.  Those wishing to honor Bubba’s life can make a contribution to the charity of their choice.
