Ricardo Ortiz

Ricardo "Ricky" Ortiz, 60 was called to his eternal resting place on May 18, 2019. He was born November 13, 1958 to Jose P. and Margaret Lopez Ortiz. He was a longtime commercial shrimper and a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved each one of them very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Madilyn Munoz.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Jennifer Munoz (Mark) and Margaret Ann Ortiz both of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Jose Ortiz, Jr., Ramon Ortiz, Sr., Johnny Joe Ortiz (Joann); sisters, Della Fuentes (Tony), Frances Murphy (Nathan) of Aransas Pass; five grandchildren, Heaven Meza, Mia Munoz, Heart Meza, Mikaylee Munoz, Mark Anthony Munoz, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 9:00a.m.-9:00p.m. with Holy Rosary recited at 7:00p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial of a Christian burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery all in Aransas Pass, Texas.
