Rebekah Mae DeGrange
Saturday, January 23rd, 2021, Rebekah “Becca” Mae DeGrange passed away along with her brother, Joseph DeGrange. She was brought into the world on May 26, 1983 in Aransas Pass, Texas, by Joseph and Gail DeGrange. She lived in the Coastal Bend area all of her life.
She studied at Del Mar College, enjoyed crafting, playing clarinet, flute, and guitar, and was a soulful singer. She loved cooking, and caring for others. Her greatest accomplishments in life were the birth of her son Lawrence Mitchell Collins and daughter Jaycee Jo Marie Vest. They were her greatest treasures.
Rebekah loved people and was always the first to help someone in need. Her contagious smile, quick wit, and infectious laughter could fill any room with love and laughter. With her compassion for people and her sparkling personality, Rebekah formed quick connections with many different people wherever she went. Rebekah was an animal lover and adored her three cats, Onyx, Cosmo, & Jax. She embraced life with fearless enthusiasm. I know she will carry that strength and love on to the next life.
Rebekah is preceded in death by her father, Joseph DeGrange, Sr. and her sister, Kennetha “Kittie” DeGrange.
She is survived by her mother, Gail DeGrange; sisters, Darla Freeze, Marjorie (Tony) Downum, Jo (Jeff) Johnson, Kristian (Geo) Coventry; and many nieces and nephews.
