Ray "Buddy" Leon White, Jr., age 63 passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Vidor, TX. Buddy was born on March 6, 1955 in San Benito, TX. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Nona Maley. He is survived by his wife, Marlys (Koepke) White of 41 years and his three sons Dereck Ray, Tearle Okley (Jenny White), Montana James and �ve grandchildren Dakota, Trinity, Kaeden, Cadence, and Tyler. Three brothers, Gary (Nohemi Maley), Mike (Yvonne Maley), Todd Maley, sister Robin Fuentes and Aunt Joyce Spiegelhoff. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by many lifelong friends, coworkers, and �oundering partners, who all had a special place in his heart.
Buddy was raised in Ingleside, TX and attended Ingleside High School where he was a star football player. He attended Texas A&M Kingsville and graduated in 1988, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Industrial Technology. While attending college Buddy was an independent commercial �sherman. Buddy's career encompasses 40 years in the oil & gas construction industry. He worked for Jacobs Engineering as a Cost Engineer for 18 years.
When Buddy wasn't working, his pastime was spent outdoors. He loved �shing, camping, and hunting. His treasured leisure activity was �oundering. His love for �shing and �oundering lives on through his children and grandchildren. His infectious laugh and smile brought great joy to all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes in Aransas Pass, Texas. Burial will be private.
