Ray Vargas

Ray Vargas, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024, at the age of 66 in his home in Aransas Pass, TX surrounded by his loved ones. Born on January 12, 1958, in Corpus Christi, TX, Ray was known for his kindness, compassion, and warm spirit.

Ray is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Elena Vargas, his loving daughter, Linda Morales Gonzalez, and his son-in-law, Jose Morales Gonzalez, who brought joy and happiness to his life. He was a cherished son of Manuela Vargas Blanco and Ray Smith. Ray will be deeply missed by his entire family.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Blanco, and mother, Manuela Blanco, who will greet him in heaven.

Ray will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his passion for life. He had a special talent for bringing people together, and his magnetic personality would light up any room he entered. Ray also cherished his family dearly and held them close to his heart.

A celebration of Ray's life will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass on January 19, 2024, at 10:00 am. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place on January 18, 2024, from 9:00 am at the same location. A prayer service will begain at 7:00 pm. Let us gather together to honor his memory and support each other during this time of grief.

Ray's final rest will be in eternal peace as he will be laid to rest in a burial ceremony following the funeral service.

Ray will be forever missed and remembered by his wife, children, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kind heart, infectious laugh, and unconditional love will remain in our hearts forever.
