Raul “Rudy” M. Soliz passed away peacefully February 25, 2024, at the age of 78. |
Born in Rockport, Texas March 29, 1945. He is the son of Alonzo and Maria Soliz both of Rockport.
|
Rudy was a hard-working family man, loved his children, his grandchildren, and especially loved his wife, Jackie. He started working at the age of 16 and had interesting jobs throughout his lifetime, each with stories to tell – he was a Maintenance Supervisor for the City of Fulton, a tug-boat captain, and hunting and fishing guide for Petromar. He loved the outdoors. He would fish whenever he could and was always ready for hunting season. Whenever you visited, he was eager to invite you for a cup of coffee or cook for you his famous pinto beans, fried fish or barbeque. We will miss him, his laughter, and his way of showing you how much he cared. |
He is survived by his children Rudy Soliz Jr. and Blanca Soliz, several grandchildren, and one great grand-daughter. He had a big heart for his niece Adelaiede Pulido whom he and his wife cared for. His siblings are Ray (Cindy) Soliz, Yolanda (Rene) Benavides, Alonzo Jr. (Mary) Soliz, Andrea LaSoya, Hilario Soliz, Armando (Maria) Soliz. |
Preceded in death are his parents, his wife Jackie Soliz, and daughter Martha Soliz. |
