Ramiro “Ram” Dominguez, 71, has passed away on March 8th 2019 at his home in Aransas Pass, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on June 17, 1947 in Taft, Texas.
Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of 52 years, Maria E. Dominguez; four sons, Leroy Dominguez (wife Jennifer), Joe Dominguez (wife Monica), Ramiro Dominguez, Jr. and David Dominguez. The four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren called him “PoPo” and believed he was the world’s greatest superhero. “Ram” also leaves two younger siblings, Guadalupe Dominguez and Angie Govea.
“Ram” was employed by The Department of Transportation with the Port Aransas Ferry for 16 years and at Gulf King Marine Shipyard for over 18 years. He was a sharp-dressed man that enjoyed music. When he wasn’t working on a project in his shop, he would read the Holy Bible. On Sundays, you could find him cheering for the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks. His favorite hobby was collecting anything eagle and American Flag related; he ended up getting a tattoo of an eagle on his left arm.
A lifelong resident of Aransas Pass, who never met a stranger, “Ram” leaves behind many friends, family members, and loved ones that will miss him dearly.
