Priscilla Carleton Ocker, age 76, of Rockport, TX, entered eternal life with the Lord on January 14, 2025 after a 4-year battle with cancer. Priscilla was born December 29, 1948 in Rockport, TX to Leon and Helen Carleton. She graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School as a member of the class of 1966. Afterward, she attended Baylor University. She helped her family operate Rockport’s Campus Drive Inn restaurant, worked with Southwestern Bell for over 30 years, and managed Crescent Beach through 2004 and Rockport Central RV Park from 2011 through 2022. Her passion was to minister in jails to help women come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, which she continued to do despite being weakened by cancer and chemotherapy. Priscilla’s life has been a great blessing for all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents, Leon Carleton and Helen Carleton; her, husband Donald Ocker; and her, brother Phillip Carleton. She is survived by her son, Tandy Wilkerson; her stepchildren Jennifer Lee (Monty), Donell Roy (Thomas), and David Ocker; her brothers Stephen Carleton (Tamara) and Marcus Carleton (Delva); her sister-in-law, Pam Carleton; and her nephews, Jason Carleton (Sammey), Mitchum Carleton (Taylor), Eric Carleton (Amanda), Aaron Carleton (Tanya), and Travis Carleton (Kristen). A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24 at 2:00 PM at Aransas Memorial Cemetery.
