Petra Torres Corpus

Petra Torres Corpus passed away April 26, 2024. She was 88 years old. She was born May 13, 1935 in Lyford, Texas to Felicita Osoria Torres and Hignio Torres.

Petra was Baptized on July 15, 1955 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was so proud to tell others about the peace in Paradise and was very faithful to Jehovah. She loved going to Field Serve, Kingdom Hall, and Assembly Hall until she could physically not attend anymore.

Petra was a great Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was loved by many friends and family. She had the biggest heart and was always happy to help others. She will be missed every day.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Lewis Corpus, Sr.; and son, Samuel Corpus.

She is survived by her sons, Carlos Lewis, Jr. of Rockport, TX., and David Corpus of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Elva Corpus Quintanilla (Edward) of Corpus Christi, TX. She especially loved her granddaughter, Alisa Elizabeth Lawrence (Joseph); great grandchildren, Baya Petra, and Thessaly Sylvania Lawerence of Gulfport, Mississippi; grandson, Korry Samuel Corpus of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The family would like to thank everyone for their millions of prayers.

The services will be private.
