Paul Torres

Paul H. Torres, 67, passed away on February 19, 2017. He was born on January 15, 1950 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Telesforo and Enriqueta Torres.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alberta Torres; brothers, Manuel and Alfred Torres. He is survived by his lifelong best friend, Raymond Castillo of Ingleside, Texas; brothers, Telesforo Torres Jr. of Aransas Pass, Texas, Angel Torres (Gloria) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Joe Torres of Houston, Texas and Robert Torres of Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters Ramona Valdez (Frank) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Virginia Logsdon of Ingleside, Texas, Julia Esquivel (Ted) of Aransas Pass, Texas, Maria Elrod of Goliad, Texas, Jennie Moreno of Aransas Pass, Texas, Rose Patterson of Aransas Pass, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend whom he took under his wing, Britt Rector.

Casket Bearers are as follows: Patrick Valdez, Arthur Moreno, Ted Esquivel, Andrew Aguirre, Steven Naranjo, and Benito Gonzalez. Honorary Casket Bearers are as follows: Robert Anthony Castillo and Kenny Bracey.

In his younger years, he was a DJ and kept that love for music throughout his lifetime. Paul was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan and was very proud of his team. He had a tremendous passion for all animals and would always render aid and care for any animal that needed it. Throughout the year he would carry toys in his car and would always find joy in giving those toys to children, this act of kindness earned him the name "Santa Clause". He was known for his sense of humor, he loved joking with everyone and everyone enjoyed being around him because he would put a smile on their faces. Paul was a great and honorable man, and touched many lives with his kindness and warmth. Although he is gone, his memory and life lessons will live in our hearts forever.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 9am - 9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. A funeral mass will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Aransas Pass.
