Patrick F. Malone

Patrick Francis Malone was born in Leadville, Colorado to Vincent Malone and wife RoseMary on November 18, 1946. He was the oldest of eight children.

Pat grew up in Daingerfield, Texas where he graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1964. During these school years he enjoyed friends, music, eagle scouting activities, played on the football team and participated in the Flying Tigers track and field team. He attended college at the University of Dallas where he graduated in 1970 with a Master in Business Administration. It was during his college years that he met Marcia Ruth Colchin and they married in 1968. Pat and Marcia had three children Christy, Lynn and Sean. After graduation, Pat began a career as a top rated sales agent with numerous mobile home companies which took the family to many states including Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Tennessee. In 1983, Pat and Jean Baker welcomed his fourth child, Shane. In the early 90's, Pat changed career paths and began work in environmental contract negotiations.

On May 11, 1996 Pat married the love of his life, Marie Yvonne Harrup at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. Pat and Marie enjoyed 22 happy years of marriage. They began their life together in Wimberley, Texas where they lived for many years before moving to Maxwell, Texas. After twelve years in Maxwell, their next move took them to San Antonio, Texas where they spent eight years before retiring to their dream location of Rockport, Texas in 2015.

Pat's happiest times were times spent with his wife and family whether it be a hunting trip, weekend visit or special occasion celebration. Pat and Marie loved to travel together when they could and especially enjoyed their fishing trips. There was never a shortage of stories to be told by Pat Malone about his fishing and hunting prowess . The annual brother hunts were especially treasured. Another experience one could always look forward to with Pat was a late night debate, lasting into the wee hours of the morning. As a UT fan, Pat's blood truly ran orange and there wasn't a single UT sport that he wouldn't watch. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed hanging out watching television in his man cave designed by wife Marie surrounded by his hunting trophies and memorabilia.

Pat passed away on June 8, 2018 after a long fight with cancer. Pat is preceded in death by his parents Vince and RoseMary and nephew Gannon.
