Patricia D’Amato-Wright, age 58, of Fulton, Texas peacefully passed away on November 3rd in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was born in Nyack, New York on November 27th, 1963 Patricia graduated from Tappan Zee High School and went on to the University of Houston so that she could be near her brothers who attended there. Patricia was married to her “Mr. Wright”, Steven Wright on June 4th, 2015. They relocated from Houston to Fulton, Texas in 2018.
Patricia was an extremely well recognized member of the hospitality industry in Houston Texas. She worked at one establishment 27 years and another for one night each week for 21 years. She was voted Best Bartender in 2000 by the Houston Press. Some say she was the uncontested queen of bartending in the Inner Loop of Houston. After moving to Fulton she continued working at several restaurants which she enjoyed immensely.
Patricia made friends everywhere she went. She always looked for the good in people and never showed anger or displeasure. She was embraced by many friends who loved to share their time with her in work, play, adventure and travel. She also enjoyed simple things such as hanging out with her two cats, Oliver and Clementine, listening to music, sunning at the beach and watching her favorite episodes of Law and Order.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter D’Amato Jr., father, Peter D’Amato and mother Anne D’Amato. She is survived by Husband, Steven Wright, brother Tom D’Amato, sister Bonnie D’Amato, brother Daniel D’Amato, nephews Travis D’Amato, Johnny D’Amato, Michael D’Amato, Anthony D’Amato, Joey D’Amato, Billy D’Amato, Michael Sheridan and one grandchild, Pierce Ryan Viaclovsky.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in Fulton, Texas November 14th and in Houston, Texas November 21st.
