Patricia “Tina” Buenaño

October 31, 1939 - March 20, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce that our beautiful Tina has been called to our Lord in Heaven in the morning hours of Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Throughout her life, Tina was happiest being surrounded by as much family as possible. It was only fitting that on her passing, the beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend was surrounded by as many loved ones that the Harbor Hospice Inpatient Unit could hold.

Tina was a beautiful soul who gave everything she had for her family. For much of her life she worked as a cook in classic Rockport-Fulton establishments such as Sea Gun, Le Gourmet, Sanddollar Pavilion, Duck Inn and the Austin St. Pub. That being said, all of us were fortunate and grateful to have had countless meals prepared by the best cook around. When she wasn’t cooking, Tina’s time was spent supporting her loved ones in all of their endeavors. Whether it was a baseball, softball, basketball, or football game, a church play, band performance, or jump roping competition, Tina was there in full support of her family. On occasion, Tina and her wonderful husband Tony would make the four hour trek from Rockport to Austin to see their eldest Grandson, Abram, just to bring him a care package of goodies, take him to dinner, and then drive four hours back to Rockport or spend a weekend at Garner State Park with her kids, nieces and nephews. Besides the love she had for her family, she was known to greatly enjoy casinos and game rooms. That is who Tina was. Pure love, joy and admiration for her family. There are no words to describe how greatly she will be missed by us all.

Tina is survived by her amazing Husband, Antonio “Tony” Buenaño; Daughters: Susana (Joey) Porter and Patty Buenaño; Sons: Gasper “Bimbo” (Jeannie) Garcia and Tony “Jr.” Buenaño; Sisters: Aurora Aleman, Alma Barraza and Lety Gilde; Brother: Bernando Hernandez.

Grandchildren: Abram (Jennifer) Rodriguez, Sabina Diebel, Gloria (Jeffery) McDaniel, Thomas (Acacia) Porter, Jesse (Fiorella) Porter, Megan Garcia, Nathan Garcia, Alyssa (Joe) Molina, Michael (Traci) Hunter, Naomi (Brody) Goodson, Jonathon (Bianca) Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales, Jade Gonzales, Dylan Abrego, Caitlin (Joshua) Esparza, Evan Abrego, Heather (Zachary Lazaron) Serra, and Jessica Garcia.

Great-Grandchildren: Ella, Zoey, Grant, Brayden, Dillon, Pamela, Gunner, Summer, Ethan, Kyler, Kyleigh, Samie, Harper, Allison, Kaden, Nicholas, Isabella, Ben, Ellington, Leonardo, and Ian.

Great-Great-Grandchildren: Blakelee Ann, Shelby Rose, Zach, Jonathan, Zarayah, Juliette, and Nicholas. And numerous nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents Anacleto Ayala and Senaida (Nino) Garcia; her son Carmen “Goose” Buenaño; her daughter, Lydia “Lilly” Gonzales; her brothers Jorge A. Ayala and Felipe Ayala; her sister Hilda Villarreal, and Granddogs Dyna, Biscuit, and Bandit.
