Misae Pollock

Misae Nakayama Pollock, 91, passed on January 26th, 2024

She was born on May 5th, 1932 in Tokyo, Japan and was the 3rd daughter of Sen and Kensaku Nakayama and the last child of 6, all of whom preceded her in death.

She met Jasper Pollock while he was stationed in Japan and they married in Kobe in 1961.

She moved with him to America and became a naturalized citizen.

They made their home for many years in East Texas moving to Rockport, Texas in 2012.

Misae was a life-long animal rescuer and a patron to many animal shelters and sanctuaries.

She was a fantastically talented seamstress, homemaker and a loving and devoted wife for over 58 years to Jasper.

She is survived by a sister in law, a brother in law and a niece and nephew who deeply loved her, and were honored to care for her.

A private funeral for immediate family will take place at a later date. In lieu of any flowers please consider making a donation to any local animal shelter in her honor.
