Michael Nesloney

Michael “Yak” Nesloney passed away peacefully in his sleep early Friday morning, January 21st, at the age of 70.

Dad was born on September 24th, 1951 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by parents Earnest and Vardell Nesloney and sister Nancy Shellenberger. He is survived by children: Michael, Somer, Courtney, Adam, Zack, and Chance, 10 grandchildren, brothers, Randy David, and Donny Nesloney and the mother of his children, Pamela Tanner.

His children, fishing, hunting, racing and airboats were his life. Dad spent his early life in San Antonio visiting Rockport every summer. The family moved to Lamar, TX where they began the Nesloney family tradition of hunting and fishing. Dad went on to have great success in the oil field,  met the love of his life and married in 1979. What brought him the greatest joy was raising his 6 children in Rockport, TX. His legacy lives on forever.

Memorial Services will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes in Rockport at 10:00 A.M Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
