Michael Mcdonald

Michael McDonald of Converse, Texas, died unexpectedly on April 30, 2023, at the age of 64. Mike was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, attended John Marshall High School and lived in Bexar County all of his life. His entire career was spent working in avionics with his most recent position at SA Aerospace as an avionics supervisor.

Mike’s passions included hunting, fishing, football, especially the New England Patriots, playing the Texas Lottery and memorable family casino trips. Those that knew Mike can attest to his quiet, non-judgmental nature and calm soul. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Debra McDonald. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, John and JoAnn McDonald of San Antonio, Texas; his brother, John McDonald (Kathy) of San Antonio, Texas; his sisters, Karen Hagen (John) of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and Sherri McDonald of San Antonio, Texas; Bonus children, his son, Dennis Boden of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Heather DeVries (Justin) of Spokane, Washington; his son, Richard Fissette of Converse, Texas; and grandchildren, Lane, Gavin, Brodie, Jocelynn, Gage, Kaylynn and Mason.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas, with reception following the service in the parish hall. Private interment to be held at a later date.
