Michael Garcia, 30, was called to his eternal resting place on July 10, 2018. He entered this world on August 4, 1987 in Corpus Christi, TX, born to Edward and Maria Garcia. Michael was the recipient of the first kidney transplant that was performed at Driscoll Children's Hospital by Stephen Almond, MD, on Feb. 14, 2007, his brother, Edward was the donor.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Garcia, Sr.; sister, Melissa Ann Garcia; grandparents, Angel and Santos Navarro; uncle, Edilberto Navarro.

He is survived by his wife, Carly Garcia; mother, Maria Garcia of Corpus Christi; brothers, Enrique Garcia (Laura) of Victoria, Edward Garcia, Jr. of Gregory, Jesus Garcia of Corpus Christi; sister, Misty Lynn Garcia (Spencer) of Portland; 14 nieces and nephews and his beloved cats.

Visitation will be held from 1:00p.m.-9:00p.m. with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gregory. Burial will follow at San Ignacio Cemetery in Ingleside.
