Melba Lewis

Melba Lewis, 80 passed away March 13, 2018. She was born August 17, 1937 in Leander, Texas. Melba was a loving mother, grandmother and "a spirited little lady" cherished by many. She loved family, baking, her church choir and performing with two of her sisters in the early country music business.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Melvin & Mildred Yount, sister Patsy Mitchell and grandson Cameron Valenca.

She is survived by her son David E. Lewis, AIA , daughter Donna M. (Robert) Valenca, granddaughter Shelbi Valenca, Grandson Devin Valenca, adopted son J. Adam (Amanda) Curtis, Sisters Charlene Mrazek, Linda Glass, Carrie (Don) Mills, brother James (Ellen) Yount and former husband Rev. Dr. C. Earle Lewis.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX. Funeral will be 2 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church of Portland, Texas.
