Melanie Ruth (Stephens) Dietrich passed away Wednesday July 14th in her home with her loving family after battling Lewy body dementia for four years. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Stringer, son in law Corey Stringer, and granddaughter Ellie Stringer, who lived with her, cherished her, and endured her illness beside her in her final years as her caretakers. She is preceded in death by her parents James A. and Julia E. Stephens. She is also survived by her sisters Julia Ann (Frank) Miller, Wilma Herchberger, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melanie loved her family, friends, and clients at the bank. She dedicated her life to serving others until the very end, and even in the depths of her illness would still ask “is there anything I can do for you?”. She held many titles in her banking career, from Branch Manager to Vice President; she served on the board of the Chamber of Commerce, was a long time member of the Lions Club, and volunteered at numerous events in the community throughout the years.  As a loving mother, Melanie was present for every school function, and volunteered to chaperone numerous band trips, school dances, and events.

She was beloved by all that met her and will be greatly missed.
