Maxine Smith

Maxine Preusser Smith, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017 in Rockport, Texas. She was born in New Braunfels, Texas to the late Guswin andWreitha Preusser on October 14, 1942. She married the love of her life, James Henry Smith, on June 1, 1962. They moved to Canyon Lake in 1969 and raised their daughters Debbie and Kathy. In 1999, they moved to Rockport, her happy place, the place where she created so many fond memories with her family over the years. Maxine was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family was her world! She loved the holidays and spending time with her family and friends. She was a great baker and always treated her guests to their favorite baked goods on their visits. Maxine will be greatly missed and always cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, James Henry Smith, of Rockport, Texas; her daughter, Debbie Irish and son-in-law, Adrian Irish of Florence, Montana; daughter, Kathy Jennings and son-in-law, Cody Jennings of Spring Branch, Texas; grandson, Logan Irish of Missoula, Montana; granddaughter, Lindsey Irish of Oxford, England; grandson, Dalton Jennings of San Antonio, Texas. Her family wishes to thank the amazing people at AIM Hospice in Rockport for their wonderful care.
