Mary Joanna Lenore Glattfelder, 80, of Portland, Texas, passed away March 31, 2022, at home surrounded by family who loved her.
She was born in Vancouver, B.C Canada on September 12, 1941. Joanna graduated from Richmond High and went to college to be a legal secretary.
Joanna worked as a legal secretary in several different law firms in Canada.
She was a member of Landmark Apostolic Church in Aransas Pass, Texas.
She loved baking pies and making jam for her family and friends.
She was was preceded in death by her son Lee, stepson Oliver, sister Nancy and her parents , John and Mary Francis VanHorn.
She is survived by her son John(Erica) Glattfelder of Bellingham, WA, her daughter Kathy (Rob) Appel of Portland, Tx, daughter Bud (Stew) Duncan of Enderby, B.C Canada, stepson Patrick(Colleen) Glattefelder of Chilliwack, B.C Canada, her 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In 1980, Joanna started attending a pentecostal church in Dawson Creek and was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. From that point on she faithfully served the Lord in many capacities and was known and loved by all she came in contact with. To all who knew her she was 'gramma Jo'
She will be so missed by her family and friends. She saw this world through 'rose colored glasses' and encouraged people to see the good in everything.
