Mary Olivarez

Mary Stella Olivarez passed away October 16, 2017. She was 71 years old. She was born August 27, 1946 in Aransas Pass, Texas to Juan and Isabel Vera.

She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Camacho Vera; ex-husband, Antonio R. Olivarez; step-father, Abelardo Rodriguez; son, Reynaldo Juan Olivarez; brother, Reynaldo G. Vera; brother-in-law, Benito Muniz; grandson, Lawrence Ashford.

She is survived by her son, Tony Olivarez (Alicia); daughter, Melissa Olivarez Robinson both of Aransas Pass, Texas; Gloria Olivarez (Norma) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; mother, Isabel Garza Rodriguez; sisters, Linda Vela (Joe), and Eva Muniz all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister-in-law, Margaret Vera from Aransas Pass; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; best friend, Raquel Barrera; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Aransas Pass, Texas. Burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery also in Aransas Pass, Texas.
