On May 13, 2019, Marty Casteel of Rockport, Texas, passed away after a long struggle with kidney disease. She was born Mary Martha Janowiak to Frank and Hattie Janowiak in Harrah, Oklahoma. She had a gregarious, outgoing, funny, witty personality. She loved to socialize. She loved to travel. She loved to get involved.

As a young woman, Marty married the cute boy in her class, Bill Casteel. Together they raised their family. She really enjoyed dining out. She loved to volunteer, bowl, play cards, especially bridge, and spend time with her friends. She could always make her loved ones laugh no matter the circumstances.

Marty was a lifelong Catholic and really loved her church. Over the years she volunteered in every parish in which she lived.

She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, Frank and Hattie; and two sisters, Jan and Bobbye. She is survived by her children: Lynne (Cleve), Jeane (Bill), Susie (Wayne), and Angie (Gene), and son, Glynne; Grandchildren: Chris (Emily), George (Katie), Katie (Ryan), Mary (Jeff), Sara (Roman), and John; and Great-grandchildren: Freya and Amy, Livi and Avery, Beau and Colby.

The Rosary will be said at 2:30 on Friday, May 24, 2019, followed by her funeral Mass at 3:00p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockport, Texas.
