Mark D. Brooks, 68, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2019. He was born to parents Emeley Garvon Brooks and Mary Elizabeth Douglas Brooks on August 29, 1950 in San Marcos, Texas.

He is preceded in death by father, Emeley Garvon Brooks; great-granddaughter, Laylah Ann Garcia

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Mark E. (Shelley) Brooks, and Robert Allen Brooks; mother, Mary Elizabeth Brooks; brothers, Michael Allen Brooks and Robert Gary(Carleen) Brooks; grandchildren, Gage Allen Brooks and Ashley Rothlisberger (Phillip Murphy), Emily Brooks, and Kaylee Brooks; great-grandchildren,  Joshua John Garcia, Jayden Brooks, and Emily Brooks; nephew, R.W. (Melissa Pena) Brooks; great-nieces, Skylette Brooks and Airlia Brooks.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Friday, March 1st, 2019, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located in Aransas Pass, TX. Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, TX. Christian Burial will follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
