Marie Harrup

Marie Harrup passed away on August 25, 2019, surrounded with love.  Marie was born in Midland, TX on October 5, 1948 to Raymond and Gloria Harrup.  She was proceeded in death by both parents and a step-father, Stanley Stone.  Marie was also proceeded in death by her loving husband, Patrick F. Malone, a son born Jon Kelly Harrup, a nephew born Paul Bruce Harrup Jr., and one niece Laura Michelle Harrup.

Marie is survived by her two daughters:  Tammie Standing and husband Wayne, and Terrie Brewer.  Two brother’s: Paul Harrup, David Harrup and wife D’Ann Harper. Four step-children: Christy Larson and husband Tim, Lynn Scudder and husband Chris, Sean Malone and wife Melissa and Shane Malone and wife Tiffany.

She is survived by one nephew Troy Harrup and Bridget Coryell.  Three nieces: Becky De Herrerra and husband Rick, Claudette Geppert, and Renee Harrup. Two great nephews: Josh and Garrett.  Three great nieces:  Britnai, Chiara and Selena.

Marie had thirteen grandchildren, who were the light of her life.  (But don’t tell the children) LOL: Stacey, Christopher, Katie, Jordan, Chance, Benjamin, Mandy, Barron, Caiti, Alyssa, Leah, Dillon and Coryn. Time spent with her grandchildren was probably her favorite.  For the babies, she was there to cuddle, bathe, feed, sing to, and dance with them.  As they grew older, she was a great Nana, friend, and confidant.  Marie was often found teaching those grandchildren to fish, playing monopoly with them, and supporting them in all their endeavors. They truly were everything to her.

Marie was blessed with many friends but wants to honor two by name.  Kathryn Johnson for 63 years, and Linda Lane for 47 years.  Kathryn was her partner in crime and Linda did her best to keep her straight!  Now girls, you know it needed to be said.

She loved her Maxwell friends/family dearly.  When she moved from San Antonio to Fulton she came alive again with the neighbors who she lovingly called her Sandollar Circle Gang.  Marie loved family and friends above all else.  Her second love was dance, and she could even be caught in the grocery store dancing.

Many times she said how grateful and blessed she was for having so many wonderful people in her life. The truth is, she attracted so much love, because she was the epitome of love herself.  Her entire life was spent sharing her generous soul with everyone she met.  She loved a good party, any chance to get together with friends and loved ones to celebrate an occasion, or just for the fun of it.  Every birthday was made special because she believed the people in her life were so important.  Relationships were at the core of who she was, so being loved by her made life so very rich.  That love was freely extended to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed!

Pallbearer's for Marie are Wayne Standing, Benjamin Standing, David Harrup, Troy Harrup, Shane Malone, and Chris Scudder.  Honorary Pallbearer's are Kathryn Johnson, and Linda Lane.
