Maria Stewart

Maria Stewart passed away July 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Rockport, Texas. She was 93 years old. She was born August 8, 1930 in Athens, Greece to Ileas and Ismini Rammos.

Maria became a citizen of the United States in the late 60's. She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, and cooking for her family. Being an adventurous Memaw with her grand-kids was one of her greatest joys. She was an amazing mother, sister, Memaw, and Great-Memaw.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth W. Stewart, Sr. (Roxanna) of Rockport, Texas, George W. Stewart of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Robert C. Stewart also of Rockport, Texas; brother Dimitri Rammos of Athens, Greece; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Greece.

As we mourn the loss of Maria Stewart, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to inspire us all to live with the same grace and kindness that she exemplified.
