Maria Silvia Garcia

Maria Silvia Garcia passed away January 05, 2025. She was 74 years old. She was born on April 21, 1950 in Mathis, Texas to Santiago and Maria Rodriguez Valdez. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Garcia; brothers, Jimmy, Joe, and Benny Valdez; one sister, Tina Valdez; and her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Luis Garcia of Dallas, Texas, Oscar Garcia, and Jose Luna (Anna) all of Rockport, Texas; daughters, Phoebe Garcia of Seguin, Texas, Esmeralda Garcia, Emily Garcia-Tiblier (Sammy) all of Rockport, Texas, Marie Garcia (Justin) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Emilia Luna of Rockport, Texas; brother, Jesse Valdez of Rockport, Texas; sisters, Amanda Martinez (Sammy), Delia Lopez both of Rockport, Texas, and Elma Valdez of Sugarland, Texas: 22 grandchildren, and 3 great children; ex daughter in law, Debra Zuniga; special nephews, John and Jimmy Valdez; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

She was a very special lady who worked hard her whole life, She loved her family and friends and God with all her heart. She will be missed everyday. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 9:00 am until service time of 2:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. Burial will be private.
