Maria Ramirez

Maria L. Ramirez passed away July 14, 2017. She was 69 years old. She was born May 30, 1948 in Mathis, Texas to Severo and Refugia Martinez.

Maria was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of the Guadalupanas, and volunteered at Castaways resale store in Rockport, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Harrison Thomas and Blas Ramirez; brother, Cipriano Martinez; sisters, Cecilia Zamudio, Magdalena Fuentes, Guadalupe Aguilar, and Margarita Salas.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Frances Garrity of Rockport, Texas; brother, Severo Martinez Jr. of Houston, Texas; sister, Ruby Lopez of Rockport, Texas; 3 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm with the rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport, Texas. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, Texas. Interment to follow at the Rockport Cemetery.
