Marcelino "Marce" Ramirez, 81, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at home surrounded by his family in Rockport, TX. He was born on December 17, 1935 in Corpus Christi, TX to Virginia Solis and Jose Ramirez. He worked as a butcher for many years and served as a Deputy Sheriff for Aransas County. He was also a school bus driver for ACISD and served as a bail bondsman. He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Porterfield and a brother Jose Ramirez.

He is survived by his wife Mary M. Ramirez; his daughters, Irene Ramirez and Ida Jeter; 3 grandchildren, Yvette Garcia, Taylor Jeter and Roberto Garcia; great granddaughter, Genevieve Garcia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was a kind and generous mentor to many and was always telling jokes. He will be truly missed by his family and the community. Special thanks to hospice for their attentive services.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm, both at Charlie Marshall Funeral Chapel, Aransas Pass, TX. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockport, TX. Interment will follow at Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery.
