Macedonia Garza, the matriarch of our family at the age of 94 was called to her eternal resting place in the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

Macedonia was an early female entrepreneur. She had the confidence and strength in herself to form her passions into several small businesses, including selling from her garden and kitchen where a steady flow of homemade food was always ready to welcome friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel (Ismael); son, Ruben; grandson, Simon, Jr.

Left to honor her memory are her children, Fred (Mary) Garza, Simon (Linda) Garza, Sabas Garza, Arturo Garza, Ernest Garza, Daniel (Lillie) Garza, Joe Garza, Guadalupe Cortes, and Rita Villarreal; to continue her legacy and unquestionable love for family are her 35 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with three heavenly additions on their way. Host of nieces, nephews and lifelong friends will forever treasure her memory.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on May 10, 2020, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on May 10, 2020, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home located at 2003 W. Wheeler in Aransas Pass. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 11, 2020 at St. Mary St. of the Sea located at 342 S. Rife St. in Aransas Pass. Interment will follow at Gregory Cemetery.
